Your focus drives everything. It drives your thoughts, emotions, and mental health. If you focus on negative things, that negativity seeps in. When you feel lost, get back to very simple things in life. Consider daily meditation before you start your day and before you go to sleep. Naming your specific emotion (frustration is different from rage!) also helps when you feel angry and overemotional. Try a few moments of deep breathing to help you connect with calm, feel more relaxed, and become present to this moment. Intentionally choose your focus – it will help bring you back to yourself.
